Canada has one of the best education systems in the world. Canada welcomes around 600,000 students from foreign jurisdictions each year. Most foreign nationals who intended to study in Canada require study permit. A study permit, once issued, allows a foreign national to study in Canada at an approved institute (DLI) for the duration of the specified course or program. A study permit is usually valid for the length of study program, plus an extra 90 days. The 90 days let an individual prepare to leave Canada or apply to extend their stay.

Requirements of Study Permit:

  • You should be enrolled at a designated learning institution (DLI).
  • Prove that you have enough money to pay for tuition fees, living expenses and return transportation.
  • You must have no criminal record and get a police certificate (if required).
  • You are in good health and get a medical exam (if required).
  • Prove to an officer that you will leave Canada at the end of authorized stay.

A well-planned and complete application will increase your likelihood of acceptance and will save you from unnecessary hassle.
